Big John says he's out
Citing a rib and shoulder injury that will sideline him for up to two weeks, Big John Daly says that he'll be forced to the miss the Arnold Palmer invitational. He promises to return for the Houston Shell Open, the week before The Masters.
Doctors told Daly he was suffering from a dislocated rib and right shoulder, suffered when he tried to stop his swing when a spectator started taking pictures Friday at the PODS Championship. When asked about the injury, Daly said he couldn't 'even lift an ashtray.'
While Daly hasn't been as competitive lately as he has in the past, he's still a fan favorite wherever he goes. He's so popular, in fact, that even fantasy golf players can't help but choose him anytime he tees it up. I know I've fallen into that trap because you just never.
