Fall Golf in the Western US
For golfers throughout most of the United States, fall is a time to be feared. It means Summer is over and that Winter will soon be upon us; it means the golf season is coming closer to ending. That's not necessarily the case here in the Northwest.
We call Fall the shoulder season. It's not quite Summer, but there's still plenty of great weather. And, because this is the time of year that courses conduct all of their aerification projects, you can get great rates at just about any course you want to play.
Even at a place like Bandon Dunes.
Even if you're still playing your fair share of rounds throughout the Fall, now is the time to start thinking about a Winter trip. Perhaps a trip to a warmer climate where you can get away from the cold and work on your game.
I always try to send people south to Palm Desert, where we work with one of the best teachers around, Jim Wilkinson. We can create a package that gets you some instruction (work on your all-around game, or your short game or maybe your putting) and then play a couple of rounds. We've got plenty of combos for you to choose from.
Or, if you're not interested in Palm Desert, what about a trip to Las Vegas or Mesquite, Nevada.
